Through most of January, Ascension and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, the largest health insurer in the region, were in tense negotiations over what Blue Cross will pay for Ascension's services to its 66,000 members, with a Feb. Additionally, the program encourages its trainees’ commitment to lifelong learning and evidence-based practice to provide outstanding individual care and sustain measurable improvements in the health of the greater population. The mission of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin is to advance the care of women at risk for obstetrical complications through innovative education, patient-centered care and scientific discovery. The program is focused on shaping a unique and comprehensive educational environment that prepares physicians to practice in a dynamic, value-based health care system.
